Scope

The ADCO specialist pharmaceutical team is currently onsite at SK Biotek delivering the builder’s works package to construct an ESB substation and client switchroom.

Challenges

Working within the constraints of a live pharmaceutical plant (ERT rated), materials in/waste out, safety, continuity of services, large external excavation on the campus of the main thoroughfare of an existing pharma plant, unidentified services discovered. To mitigate these challenges the onsite team carried out detailed risk assessments, works are planned in compliance with best practice and management ensures that these plans are adhered to by workcrews. Communication is fundamental to the success of the project – RAMS are communicated via ADCO site foreman, the detailed SPA is filled out in the daily Morning Huddle, regular toolbox talks reinforce the importance of planning for safety.
