Green Street, Rotunda, Dublin Reception remodel

Scope

The goal of this project was to modernise the reception, resulting in a more inviting entrance.
This was achieved through demolition and strip out, which included plastering, studding and metal frame ceilings, bulkhead, and shadow gaps.
Mechanical installation and alterations, such as firestopping components. Installation of backboard to floors for tiles. Electrical installation and alterations.
Carpentry 1st and 2nd fix, ceramic floor and wall tiling, vanity units and W.C. back panels, sanitary fittings and accessories, entranceway timber wall cladding, painting and fitting of the reception desk; and carpet tiling, including the entrance carpeting and mat.

Challenges

This project took place in a live, tenanted building which necessitated the use of barriers to cordon off certain areas, and the delivery of suitable access for those with disabilities.

Successes

A very high quality standard, as well as being on time and on budget, despite the challenges posed by working in a live environment.
