The project brief was to create a high quality office environment with a strong emphasis on Glanbia’s corporate branding. This entailed a fit out to the existing dated early 1990’s building to a modern reception, atrium and open plan office space providing an enhanced, more collaborative workspace for 150 staff.
ADCO Contracting worked closely with Reddy Architecture to ensure the successful delivery of the project brief on time and within budget. This was a challenging project which included working within a live building environment meaning ADCO Contracting had to ensure normal day-to-day business continuity. This included temporary staff relocation to work areas, noise restrictions, out of hours work and dust migration.
To achieve the above, a Business Continuity Plan was developed to ensure minimal disruption to the clients daily work activities. For Phase 1 the reception area and a number of offices were temporarily relocated to two meeting rooms. Due to the fast-track programme and the lead in of a circle slide door and curtain walling, ADCO Contracting had a tight two days to finish phase 1. The week that Phase 1 was due to be handed over a major change to the stairs access to first floor from reception was introduced but ADCO Contracting managed this change and completed handover on the agreed date. On completion of Phase 1 one of the meeting rooms was used as a temporary canteen while the other was used by staff displaced from the office works area during Phase 2.
