Scope

This large scale project involved the fit-out of a large warehouse unit on behalf of  leading car manufacturer, Volkswagen.   Volkswagen required the fit-out of a new National Learning Centre.  The centre would include six state-of-the-art training rooms, new canteen, a mezzanine level to overlook the workshop floor, four car lifts and three new training rooms.  The project also included the demolition of some of the existing office space to make way for the new builds.

Successes

The project was completed within a tight schedule of eleven weeks and within budget.

Additional Information

Whilst fitting car lifts which required excavation to a depth of 5m, work noise had to be kept to a minimum between 8am and 5pm as the unit was adjoined by two live premises. ADCO Contracting worked a schedule to ensure this was achieved and yet also ensure the project was delivered on time.
