Scope

Appointed PSCS to oversee the construction of two three-storey over-roof towers.  This was within the existing footprint in two live production buildings. The project involved excavating over 250m³ of material, using cranes to erect the steel frame and cladding, and weatherproofing of the towers.  A live production facility at all times, ADCO Contracting created a dust-sealed working environment within the premises to enable construction works to carry on within interruption to the clients day-to-day production operations.

Successes

Working in a live and sensitive environment, we delivered this project successfully and on time, much to the client’s satisfaction. There was no disruption to Mondelez’s production activities.

Additional Information

For construction and weathering purposes, the towers were constructed in two phases. Phase 1 steel was erected internally. Holes were then made in the existing roof and temporarily weathered. This allowed the erection and cladding of Phase 2 steel tower.
